FISHING IN STRAUMANE, LAKE HAFSLO

The fishing season is during 15 May and 14 September.

5 km, towards Veitastrond, from the center of Hafslo you will find Straumane. An idyllic place where the Hafslovannet is divided by a river. Here you will find fantastic fishing spots and our guides will show you the best. We have all the equipment you need, what you need to bring is a good mood and clothes according to the conditions.

Fly fishing

For those who want to learn fly fishing, we organize private courses.Here you have the opportunity to get a basic course in fly fishing. You will get an introduction to casting technique and some simple knowledge about flies. The day starts with training on grass before a simple lunch that will give you a good break. After lunch there will be a session where we try out our new knowledge in the river. The course takes about 6 hours including lunch and all the equipment they need. The maximum number is 4 people per course and price is NOK 2000,- per person.

Early bird

Join us for an early fishing trip 05:30 am - 07:30 am. The time will be adjustet during the summer.Watch the day wake up and enjoy the beautiful nature in the silence of the morning, just you and the fishing rod. Rental of fishing pole, accessories, guiding and fishing license included. NOK 2500,- for each guide. 

Mid day

Three hours of fishing in scenic surroundings. Rental of fishing pole, accessories, guiding and fishing license included.NOK 2000,- for each guide.

Late night

The day goes to peace, quiet water, fantastic nature and plenty of fishing opportunities. Could there be a better end to the day?


10 pm - midnight. The time will be adjusted as the sun sets earlier during the summer.Rental of fishing pole, accessories, guiding and fishing license included. NOK 2500,- for each guide.
